Welcome to the Florida Department of Transportation District Four (FDOT D4) Traffic Alert System – SMART Alerts. The system includes freeway routes in all five counties – Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties.

To register for SMART Alerts, you'll need to create a user account. If you already have an account, please sign in. Thanks.

Helpful tips for your SMART Alerts
Below tips to help you manage your SMART Alerts:

Recover your password
1. Click on the “Forgot your password?” link and enter your username.
2. A new password will be sent to you by email.

Make changes to your Personal Information
1. Log in to your SMART Alerts account
2. Click on the “Alerts” button.
3. Click on either the “Email Alerts” button or the “Text Alerts” button, depending on how you receive your alerts.
4. Click the “Edit Personal Information” link.
5. Enter your new information.
6. Make sure to click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

Make changes to your Alert Schedule
1. Log in to your SMART Alerts account.
2. Click on the “Alerts” button.
3. Click on either the “Email Alerts” button or the “Text Alerts” button, depending on how you receive your alerts.
4. Click on the “Edit your Traffic Alerts” link.
5. To change your schedule, click the “edit” button and make the changes. Be sure to click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
6. To delete your schedule, click the “delete” button. Confirm your decision by clicking the “OK” button.
7. To add a new schedule, click the “add schedule” button and add the new information. Be sure to click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.

Close your account
1. Click on the “Alerts” button.
2. Click on either the “Email Alerts” button or the “Text Alerts” button, depending on how you receive your alerts.
3. Click the “Edit Personal Information” link.
4. Click the “Delete/Unsubscribe” button at the bottom of the page.
5. Confirm your decision by clicking the “Delete My Account” button.
